Sometimes I worry that the ridiculous afro and the goofing around strays too far from the St. Baldrick’s mission: to conquer kids’ cancer, show camaraderie with the kids, and raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research. I have to remind myself that the point is to have fun, to pick up the kids spirits, to go bald, and to demonstrate to the kids they can feel good about going bald too.
I can’t wait—in just one month—I will be bald. Yay! Or, in Sharon’s words, “Thank god!”
I count on your support too.
Conquer kids’ cancer,
Tom

Fro’s Secret Message F5 decoded.
My mission is to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Last year in Cleveland, volunteers, and donors raised over $250,000 shaving our heads. In 2011 the foundation awarded over $550,000 in research grants to Cleveland hospitals. The money’s coming here folks. All of it. Don’t tell anyone... I think some of that grant money came from somewhere else too.
I’m raising awareness and asking for donations. Last year a lot of friends contributed $10, $50, and even $100 so that I would reach my goal of $5,000 and shave my head for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Can I count on your support?

Help me go bald. It’s easy. Make a donation and submit your “Fro” or “Bald” inspired art.
On March 17, I’m shaving my head for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. But not just any head, I’m shaving “the FRO.” I’ve raised $20,000 in just four years for St. Baldrick’s.
Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has made more than 250 grants totaling over $55 million for childhood cancer research. In 2010 alone, over $14 million was funded—more than any other foundation making grants for research to cure childhood cancers.
I’m raising awareness and asking for donations, Last year a lot of friends contributed $10, $20, $50, and even $100 so that I would shave my head for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
